Byzantine glads

The Byzantine glads are blooming! Byzantine glads are native to the Mediterranean and should be planted in the Fall, not in spring like other glads. Do be careful when ordering corms as many places sell the tiny impostors. The real byzantine glads cost more, but are totally worth it as they do naturalize and spread. A few will quickly turn into many:



I started with 3 corms (they are kind of spendy little buggers) about 4 years ago and they have have naturalized and spread wonderfully!:

I now have so many of them that I was even able to move a large bunch to a pot so I can move them around the garden when they are in bloom:
