Bloom Day - January 15, 2010

Well, it just warmed up after a record cold freeze here in Austin. The only thing I have blooming in the yard are the Paperwhites and they look a bit frazzled from the deep-freeze:

I do, however, have several things blooming that are in pots that I moved into the garage during the freeze, but are now back outside.

Meyer lemon blossoms:

Abutilon:

Red Geranium:

Pink Geranium:

Red Cyclamen:

Dragon-Wing Begonia:

And an Amaryllis:

Happy Bloom-Day everyone!

These are wonderful...and I don't know if I've told you I love the name of your blog or not, but it makes me grin, especially at this time of year where the sun seems to be on sabbatical...

Lovely to see that some things are still blooming in Austin. The citrus blooms must be filling the air with their fragrance.

Those flowers do look worth saving Lee17 - glad you had room in the garage!

Happy Blooming Day,

That's more color than I have. Very nice and I know your lemon blooms smell wonderful.

Hi, I came across your blog while searching for other Texas gardens and gardeners. You have some really pretty plants and that blue fountain is spectacular.

I'd be much happier this bloomday had I gotten off my bohonkus to haul things indoors. Nice show!
