I got him! I finally got a photo of our resident winter hummingbird. He is quite skittish and whenever I go outside he flies away or hides behind the orchid tree where I cannot get his photo, so this is a thru-the-window shot at maximum zoom, but here he is:

Lovely! I've yet to see one of these. I'll have to keep an eye out. We have quite the assortment of birds that migrate through our yard. I'm glad you got a picture.
Wow! Do you leave a feeder out all year for him?
Yes, I do have a feeder out but I rarely see him at it. He seems to prefer eating the little bugs around the yard instead.
